Dufferin County
Dufferin County public schools fall under the jurisdiction of the Upper Grand District School Board. There are three elementary schools that service Shelburne and the surrounding area and one highschool: Centennial Hylands Elementary School, Primrose Elementary School, Hyland Heights Elementary School, Centre Dufferin District High School. Students are bussed from Melancthon and Mulmur.
Laurelwoods ES is located in the hamlet of Laurel, northeast of Orangeville. Laurelwoods is a fully bussed school receiving students from Orangeville, Waldemar, and Amaranth Township.
Mono Amaranth PS is located northeast of Orangeville and currently serves the large rural population of Mono and Amaranth.
Catholic Education is available in Alliston, and French Immersion is offered to Dufferin students in Orangeville. To view school boundaries and location, please view the map.
Orangeville
The school system in Orangeville is also under the jurisdiction of the Upper Grand District School Board. There are currently ten public and separate elementary schools: Credit Meadows, Mono Amaranth PS, Montgomery Village, Parkinson Centennial, Princess Elizabeth, Princess Margaret, St. Andrew's RC, St. Benedict's RC, St. Peter's RC and Island Lake Public School, as well as a holding school.
Along with these publicly funded schools, there are several private schools in the area: Dufferin Area Christian School, Hillcrest Private School, The Maples Independent Country School, Orangeville Christian School, and Trillium Montessori School.
There are two Secondary Schools located within the boundaries of Orangeville: Westside Secondary School and Orangeville District Secondary School (ODSS). The catholic high school, Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School, is located about 20 minutes away in Caledon East.
